Bihar: Nitish Kumar appoints Poll Strategist Prashant Kishor as the Vice President of JD (U)

Prashant Kishor has been a poll strategist for Narendra Modi, Nitish Kumar, Congress Punjab, Samajwadi and Congress Alliance for Uttar Pradesh and is currently working for YSR Congress Party for its 2019 assembly elections

Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar on Tuesday appointed Prashant Kishor as the party’s vice president, effectively making him second in command of the party.

Kishor has worked for a number of parties as a poll strategist and recently joined the JD (U) in Bihar. He is seen to be close to Nitish after parting with Narendra Modi. Nitish Kumar is national president of the party and chief minister of Bihar.

Prashant expressed his gratitude to the party and its leadership and showed his commitment for Nitish Kumar’s philosophy of development with justice and Bihar. “Heartfelt Gratitude to JD (U) and party leadership for responsibility and honour. I am committed to Mr.Nitish’s philosophy of development with justice and Bihar,” he tweeted in Hindi.

Kishor owns Indian PAC Consulting Private Limited. The company helps political parties in preparing strategies and winning elections.

Party spokesperson K C Tyagi said Kishor’s appointment will help it reach out to social segments out of its traditional support base.
