In a video shared by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, a BJP MLA, MLA Bakshish Singh Virk is saying, “Whoever you vote for, we will get to know. Don’t think we won’t know. We deliberately don’t tell you, but if we want, we can find out. Because Modiji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) is intelligent. Manoharlal (Chief Minister ML Khattar) is intelligent.”

He further said in a revealing tone that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are rigged. “You may vote for whoever you want, your vote will go to the kamal (lotus, BJP’s poll symbol) only,” he said.
“Press any button, the vote will go to BJP. We have fixed a purja (part) in the EVM machines,” he said.
According to media reports, the Election Commission (EC) has issued a show-cause notice to Virk and appointed a special observer to the constituency for corrective action.
In Haryana, assembly elections are going on today on Monday, October 21 in a single phase.
Bakhshish Singh Virk is Bhartiya Janata Party’s MLA from Assandh (Haryana) constituency. He had defeated the BSP’s with 4000+ votes in assembly elections 2014. In August 2017, Virk was charged with attacking media personnel.
