Terrorist attack on Amarnath pilgrims, fourth in history of Kashmir, all in the NDA regime

A terrorist attack is being reported on different TV channels. According to TV channels, terror strike occurred at 8:20 in the evening at two places according to the report of News 24 whereas the NDTV has reported the attack has occurred at three places.

7 pilgrims are dead and 12 are seriously injured, according to the India TV. Internet services shut down in the valley.


According the the reports, 2 battalions have reached at the spot and security has further been tightened.

It is being reported that the bus which was attacked was separated from the convoy. It is failure of local police and intelligence, says the former IG of Kashmiri Police on News 24.

The bus returning to Baltal was attacked by 5 terrorists riding on motor cycles who fled successfully after the attack. The CRPF post was also attacked as per the reports on television channels.

Ghulam Nabi Azad condemns the attack and says this attack is first of its kind in the history of Kashmir and it is a matter of shame for every Kashmir.

Similar attacks were carried out in 2000, 2001 and 2002 when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the prime minister of India.
